Hong Kong Scotland Schools Improvement Partnership – S4/S5 pupils
Gracemount High School has been given the opportunity to be part of an exciting partnership with a school in Hong Kong.  This partnership initiative already involves around 7 other schools in Edinburgh, and we would be joining this fantastic group.

We have been paired with Wong Shiu Chi Secondary School, and our aim is to develop a long-term relationship with this school.

S4/5 pupils
We are looking for S5 pupils initially but potentially S4 pupils also, who would be able to host pupils coming over to Edinburgh from Hong Kong in November 2019.  This would then lead to a visit to the school in Hong Kong September 2020.
Please contact Miss Davies for further information.

First Minister's Reading Challenge
Once again, we are taking part in the First Ministers Reading Challenge.  Our aim is to make Gracemount a Reading School.  The first challenge this year is for S1-S3 pupils.  Each English teacher has a chart in their room.  Every time one of their pupils has finished reading a book, they will mark it down on the chart.  There will be extra challenges along the way.  There will be a reward for the classes of the teacher who have read the most books.  The initial challenge will run till the October break.  Influence by Strictly come Dancing ...'Keep Reading!'
