Junior Award Trip

Outward Bound Trip Parent/Carer Information Evening
This meeting has been re-scheduled to take place this Tuesday, 26th June at 6.00pm. It is open to all parents, carers and pupils and will be held in the school library.

A reminder that S2 SZ pupils need to hand in their EE2 forms and permission slips to Miss Grisdale by the end of term or you will not be able to attend the Fringe trip.

Holiday Activity Programmes
Summer Holiday Programme at Gilmerton with Valley Park will run from 2 July – 6 August 2018.

Registration for Valleypark Community Centre’s programme will take place on Monday 25th June 2.30-3.30pm, and from 6.00-7.30pm.

Work is about to commence.  They have made arrangements to minimise any disruption to the local community.  Please ensure that pupils are aware of the dangers that building sites bring and that they should keep clear of all construction areas.  We will reinforce this in school

Water Sports Trip 2018
There will be a pupil meeting in Miss Davies room after school on Wednesday, 6 June 2018.  All pupils must attend.

Fringe Festival Opportunity

(1)     Look out for a stall on Tuesday and Wednesday breaktime in the dining hall, and sign up if you are interested in attending the Fringe with the school in August.


(2)    New members welcome to join the Fringe Committee – Thursday lunchtimes in Art 2 (Miss Grisdale’s room).

Senior Auschwitz Trip
There is an opportunity for two senior S5/6 pupils to go to Auschwitz, funded mostly by the Holocaust Education Fund. The trip will be on The 3rd October. There also will be a preparation and feedback session in Edinburgh. Once completed, the pupil becomes a Holocaust educational trust ambassador.

Anyone who wants to apply to go on the trip should see Mrs Fleming for details.
