Outward Bound Forms
URGENT! – Please return your Outward Bound forms by Wednesday, 19 June.
To allow me to check over your Outward Bound forms and to send them off on time please ensure that you hand in all Outward Bound forms no later than Wednesday. Replacement forms, additional medical forms and copies of kit lists are all available from Mr Wyllie.

Music Department

·         If you receive instrument or voice lessons in school, please make sure that you check your lesson times every week. These are on the board in the music corridor along with individual time slips. It is your responsibility to find out when your lesson is and to collect your slip in the morning.

·         Brass lessons with Miss MacLean will be on Tuesday this week, not Thursday.

·         Keep an eye on the Music Department Positivity board for upcoming notices of Music Awards and “Musician of the Month.”

S5/S6 students Applying for Medicine
The Royal High School is hosting a Getting into Medicine Day for any pupil in S5 and S6 that is interested. The event will be held on Friday 21st June from 9.30-4pm and will be led by some of Royal High’s successful candidates. It is aimed at new S6, but new S5 are welcome to come along. It will cover the medicine course, work experience, personal statement and interview help. If you are interested, please email nicola.casey@royalhigh.edin.sch.uk directly.  Please also let your Guidance teacher know if you plan to attend. You will be expected to make your way to and from the event independently.

Alton Towers Trip Meeting
There will be an Alton Towers trip meeting during break today in the PE classroom.  All pupils going on the trip should attend.

S2 Outward Bound - Parent/Carer information Evening – Tonight!
Tonight’s meeting is for parents and carers of all new S2 pupils who are going on Outward Bound trip in August.

Location:  School Library

Time: 6:00 - 6:45pm

This is an opportunity to find out more about the trip, ask questions and share any additional information with Mr Wyllie (trip leader).  S2 Pupils going on the trip are also welcome to attend, but should be accompanied by a Parent/Carer.

Outward Bound Trip Forms and Final Payments
Just a reminder that all Outward Bound forms and final payments are now due in. Please return forms to Mr Wyllie. Payments should be made using Parent Pay.

Outward Bound Trip for current S1’s - A few places still available.
We still have a few places on our S1 Outward Bound trip to Loch Eil, running from 26th-30th August. Full cost of the trip is £196.50, with financial assistance available for those that qualify. If you’d like to go, but still haven’t signed up yet or would simply just like a little more information then please see Mr Wyllie as soon as possible.

There is now a new timetable for the music practice rooms. Due to high demand, these rooms will only be available to:

·         Pupils who receive instrument/voice lessons

·         Pupils who are in a music class.

All instrumental pupils are asked to speak to Mr Kilday to ensure that you have booked a practice time.
