Safer Internet Day 2015
Safer Internet Day 2015 will be celebrated on Tuesday 10 February 2015. The strapline for the campaign is “Let’s create a better internet together”. Safer Internet Day promotes safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world.

Summer Ball
The full amount of the Summer Ball (£45) and signed contract should be paid by Friday 13 February. Payments should be made to Miss Taylor in ICT. If anyone is unable to pay the full amount by this date you must speak to Miss Taylor or risk losing your place and your deposit.

THEATRE TRIPS
Please can senior students attending either theatre trip to see ‘Rent’ or ‘The Slab Boys’ please hand in their ticket money to Mrs Whyte ASAP.  See Mrs Whyte if there are any issues with payment.

LAST CALL FOR CURIOUS INCIDENT
Any S1-3 interested in attending the theatre trip to see ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ in May, must see Mrs Whyte or Mrs Brown ASAP.  The deadline is next Wednesday.

Dress Down Day
There will be a Dress Down Day next Friday in aid of the Edinburgh based charity CLASP (Children with Cancer and Leukaemia, Support for Parents).  Pupils are reminded that if they choose to dress down they are choosing to donate £1 (or whatever they can afford) to the charity.

Expressive Arts Show
Anyone wishing to participate in the Expressive Arts Show which is taking place on Thursday 23rd April, must sign up for an audition.  You can do this by either adding your name to the lists that are located throughout the building, or by speaking to Aidan Gorman or Miss Shannon.

The John Byrne National Drawing Competition
Call to all budding artists – Ms McKenzie is excepting entries to an exciting new drawing competition. The John Byrne National Drawing Competition is open to all S1 - S3 pupils. The competition is to encourage young people to draw in school and at home. The theme is ‘a day in my life’ but drawings on any subject will be accepted. Be as creative as you can. The winner gets £100 vouchers for art materials. Come along to art club Tuesday after school or do it in your own time. School entries must be in to Ms McKenzie by the end of February. Get drawing!!
