Water Sports Trip
A reminder that there is a bag packing session at Morrisons at the Gyle tomorrow.  Make sure you know when you should be attending and be there on time.  See Mr Gregor if you’re don’t!

Half-Price Book Fair
Tuesday 12th May – Thursday 21st May 2015 In the Library.

Everything is half-price, including new and popular titles.

Examples:

Mocking Jay was £7.99 it will be on sale for £4.00

Maze Runner was £6.99 it will be £3.50 in the sale.

Goosebumps: Stay out of the kitchen was £4.99 now £2.50


As well as books, there will be posters and stationery on sale for half price too!

All next week there will be a number of competitions run, organised by Scholastic including a chance to win books, Odeon gift card, design your own Converse trainers and even an ipad mini.

Athletics Championship
Sign-ups for the Edinburgh Schools Athletics Championships at Meadowbank stadium on Wednesday 3rdJune is now open. If you are interested in representing the school please see Mr Kidd in the PE department as soon as possible.

SPORT AND DANCE AWARDS 2015: Thursday 11th June @ 7.00pm

The PE and dance departments are having an awards night to celebrate all our sporting and dance successes. There will be awards for each sport and dance year group along with a pupil and staff vote to decide who will be the Gracemount Sports and Dance Personality of Year.

There will be more updates and information coming next week and you can stay in touch with all the info on the PE department twitter feed @PEGracemount.

Uniform Code
A reminder to all that we are very proud of our school uniform and expect all pupils to make every effort to comply with our code.  Pupils should arrive and leave the building in full uniform

(not PE kit).  Please remember plain black shoes should be worn and leggings are only acceptable when worn with a skirt of an appropriate length.  If for any reason you have arrived in school without a piece of uniform e.g. tie or skirt, items can be borrowed before registration from Mrs Fraser in Welfare if a suitable deposit is supplied.

Outdoor Learning Summer Programme
The City of Edinburgh Council, Sports and Outdoor Learning Unit has a full programme of outdoor and adventurous activities taking place this summer in Edinburgh.  The programme starts on Monday 13th July and runs until Friday 14th August 2015. Sessions include:

 Archery, Bushcraft,

Canoeing, Climbing,

Dragon Boating, Elie Chain Walk,

Geocaching, Gorge Walking,

Hill Walking, Mountain Biking,

Multi Activity Days

The programme is open to pupils from S1 – S4 and most sessions run from 10:00 – 16:00.
