There will be a Pupil Council meeting today during period 2 in SOC 3.
Focus Fortnight /Wow Class
Congratulations to the following pupils who have won the positive behaviour awards focus fortnight for Following Instructions:

Wow class for this period was Mr. Mckenzie’s National 5 Biology (Thanks to Mrs.Valentine for being our independent adjudicator!)
The next focus fortnight is E for Equipment – Have all your “tools for school”. Appropriate use of phones iPads and other technology.
Water Sports Trip
All pupils who are going on the water sports trip should attend a meeting in PE during Monday break.
Pupils are reminded that the N5 Practical Drama exams are next Wednesday, (18th March).
These exams take place in the Drama Studio and Drama Classroom (Art corridor). Please be extremely quiet as you pass these areas on Wednesday so that the exam is not disturbed.
Modern LanguagesIt is that time of year again for N5 and Higher Modern Languages SQA Speaking Exams. All pupils involved should be preparing thoroughly at home, in GASS and in lessons for those important exams. Those marks go to your final grades so it is very important that you achieve the highest score possible. If you do not prepare for those exams you risk getting a weaker overall score in August and you may not reach your Target Grade! So, get revising! Bon courage! Los!”

Outward Bound Trip – Final Payment & Important Information Required
All Pupils going on this year’s trip should have now received a large A4 envelope this week containing information about the Outward Bound Trip, if not see your Group Tutor. Please complete all forms inside and return any remaining payments no later than Friday, 27th March 2015. Payments and forms should be handed into the school office.
There will also be a Parent/Carer information evening on Wednesday, 25th March from 5.30pm – 6.00 pm. This is an opportunity to find out more about the trip, if you have not been before and for participants and their Parents/Carers to ask questions or to pass on additional information they feel is important for me to know.
S2 Junior Award Scheme – Return of EE2 Consent Form
Could all S2 pupils please hand in their EE2 consent forms for the Me and My World section of the JASS award, by Wednesday (18th March) morning. Please hand into the school office or directly to Mr Wyllie.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
The PE Department are collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers. These vouchers will be used to get new sports equipment for the PE department.
Please hand any vouchers into the PE department.
Teenage Booster and Meningitis C Immunisation Forms
Please can any pupils who have not returned their Teenage Booster or Meningitis C Immunisation forms yet, hand them into the school office as soon as possible. Any pupils who do not hand in their form will not be given the vaccine on the day.
Outdoor Learning Easter Programme 2015
The City of Edinburgh Council, Sports and Outdoor Learning Unit has a full programme of outdoor and adventurous activities taking place this Easter in Edinburgh. The programme starts on Monday 6th April and runs until Friday 17th April 2015. Sessions include:
The programme is open to pupils from P6 – S4 and most sessions run from 10:00 – 16:00. You can book individual days or a full week’s progressive programme. You may also be able to work towards outdoor skills awards.
