Values Focus Week
This week we will be focusing on Instilling Resilience – “We persevere when faced with challenge. We know that when we make mistakes we are encouraged to learn from them”.

S6 pupils who attended Young Drivers Event
Can all pupils who attended the Young Drivers Event at the Corn Exchange last Tuesday, please complete the following survey monkey link. The organisers are keen to get the views of young people so that they can improve the event each year.

S4- S6 Pupils – Important Dates for your Diary!

Interested in starting a course at Edinburgh College in 2019? Come along to the following Edinburgh campus open days in November and December to speak to teaching staff about the courses they offer, entry requirements, application advice and finding the right course for you.
22 November at Midlothian Campus
27 November at Sighthill Campus
29 November at Granton Campus
4 December at Milton Road Campus
3 – 7 pm

Staff will be on hand to give you guidance on funding, fees and student support during your time at college. You will also be invited to take a tour of the campus, including classrooms, workshops, libraries and social areas, giving you an idea of what it’s really like to be a student at Edinburgh College.

Ogwini Team
There will be a meeting at lunchtime today (Monday 8th October 2018) for all pupils going to Ogwini in Feb 2019. Please arrive promptly for 1.15pm.

Theatre Trips
Please have money paid in for Macbeth and The Unreturning theatre trips with the Drama department by TOMORROW to secure your place. Payment to be made by ParentPay (see office if you need help with this.)

Alton Towers 2019
This trip is open to all S4-S6 with attendance over 85% and will take place on Friday 14th June 2019.  40 spaces are available, if there is more demand, then a selection process will take place.

S1 Pupils Medical Forms and Medication
Any S1 pupils who have received medical forms please return them with any medication ASAP to Mrs Fraser (Welfare). If your child has a medical condition that requires medication for example Asthma, it is imperative that the appropriate medication /forms are handed into school.

Expressive Arts Show
Do you have a talent? Are you a dancer, singer, in a band, good at drama? Auditions for the Expressive Arts show are on Wednesday 24th October at 3.30pm in the drama studio. Please speak to Miss Grisdale or Miss McCreadie for more information.

Wednesdays after-school (3:35-4:05pm) in ICT3.
This new group ran by S3 student, Shawny Baillie, will have a different focus every week

Edinburgh Schools Central Choir
Anyone in S3 or above with an interest in singing is invited to attend rehearsals at St Thomas of Aquinas on Tuesdays, 4:30-6:30.
